Dear parents, guardians and caregivers, As we head into June, here are some events you may want to add to your calendar: Student Busing Registration | Due It's time to register for specialized transportation using MyCBE. Please log into your account and register your student for next year's bussing. We are requesting that this registration is completed as soon as possible, ideally by the end of this week, June 5. If you need support with this process, please call the main office. Student Transitions | Week of June 3 Each spring, we prepare to welcome new students to the Christine Meikle School community. In order to ensure the best possible supports are in place for each student, we review their learning profile, meet with their families, and then consult with our classroom teams. Building class lists often means moving existing students to new classes. When we do so, we are always looking for the best fit for every young person in our care. If we would like to move your child to a new class for the 2025-2026 school year, their current teacher will connect with you during the IPP meetings. IPP & Paperwork Meetings | Week of June 16 In June, teachers meet with each family to review the final IPP for this school year. For returning students, they also work with parents and guardians to complete the necessary paperwork for the 2024-25 school year. This ensures we are ready to hit the ground running on our first day of school. Please watch for communication from your child’s teacher to set up time to meet. Thursday, June 26 | Last Day of School (noon dismissal) - Please connect with your classroom team to make arrangements for student supplies to come home, equipment to be picked up, etc.
