Dear Meikle Families, Guardians, and Caregivers, 

As we enter the final stretch of the school year, I want to thank you for your ongoing partnership and support. With just under three weeks left, our focus remains on maintaining consistent routines, supporting regulation, and helping students end the year feeling successful and confident. 

While it can be tempting to wind down early, we know that many of our students rely on predictable routines and structure. Our teams will continue to provide full programming right until the last day of school, and we appreciate your support in reinforcing routines at home as well. 

Each classroom is beginning to plan end-of-year celebrations and transitions. Please watch for communication from your child’s teacher about: 

  • IPP and paperwork meetings for returning students 
  • Plans for student supplies and equipment to come home 
  • Special activities or class celebrations 

It’s been a year of growth, learning, and connection—and we’re not done yet. Thank you for trusting us with your children. Let’s finish strong! 

Student Busing Registration – Due Now 

  • Please log in to your MyCBE account to register your child for specialized transportation for next year. We ask that all registrations be completed by Wednesday, June 12. 
  • If you need assistance, contact the main office—we’re happy to help. 

IPP & Paperwork Meetings | Week of June 16 

  • Teachers will be meeting with families the week of June 16 to review final IPPs and, for returning students, complete paperwork for the 2024–25 school year. This helps us start strong in September. 
  • Please watch for a message from your child’s teacher to schedule your meeting.

  • We invite all families and caregivers to join us for our final School Council & Society Meeting of the year. It’s a great way to stay informed, share your voice, and help shape the future of our school community.
  • We are also looking to recruit new members for the 2025–26 school year! Whether you're interested in a formal role or just want to listen in and learn more, we’d love to have you join us.

Thursday, June 26 | Last Day of School – Noon Dismissal 

  • Please connect with your classroom team to arrange for your child’s supplies to be sent home and any equipment to be picked up. 
  • Report cards will be available for download on MyCBE that day. 

Staffing Update – June 2025 

  • As we wrap up the year, we want to share some bittersweet news. Several of our incredible teachers—Lizz Tran, Ed Frederburg, Raegan Deslisle, Darko Pibrovec, and Sarah Myson—will be leaving our team at the end of June. While we’ll deeply miss their care, passion, and presence, we’re excited for the new opportunities that await them. 
  • At the same time, we’re thrilled to welcome new energy and fresh perspectives to our school. Jason Rip will be joining us as Assistant Principal in the fall, and we’re also excited to welcome these Educational Assistants permanently to the CMS team: Ali Kuhn, Gisela Sousa, Socorro Soto-Romo, Meghan Spiess, and Gerard Reyes. 

Thank you for being part of our community through this year of change and growth. We’re looking forward to a strong finish and a bright start to next year.
