Dear CMS Families and Caregivers, 

On Friday, many of our students had the opportunity to choose their own Easter treat, generously donated by one of our CMS families. Students used their communication pathways to select the treat they wanted, making the experience both fun and meaningful. We are grateful for the kindness and support of our school community.

reminder | Student Conference Sign Up Require

We are pleased to invite parents and guardians to our Spring Parent-Teacher Conferences. Conferences will take plan on March 20, virtually. Brooklyn Udell's conference will be held at alternate times, on Monday and Wednesday from 3:15-4:15. This spring, we will be using MyCBE to book conference times. MyCBE is used across the CBE, so you may have used this system before if you have other children in CBE schools.

Please use the following link to access your MyCBE account and book your conference time: https://www.cbe.ab.ca/mycbe

Conferences will be available to book starting Friday, March 13 at 8 am. Once your conference time is booked, you will receive a Microsoft Teams meeting link by email. This link will allow you to access your conference online on March 20.

We recognize that families have recently received several updates about student progress. Teachers have recently sent home report cards and reviewed IPPs. Because of this, Spring conferences will be 10 minutes long. However, we wanted to provide an opportunity for families to connect with their student’s teacher if they wish.

If you do not feel a conference is needed at this time, that is completely fine. If the available times do not work for your schedule, please contact your child’s teacher and we will do our best to arrange another time.

reminder | Bus Address Changes

If you would like to add or change a student’s bus pick-up or drop-off address, please note that Transportation can take up to two weeks to adjust routes. Please plan ahead when requesting any changes.

update | CMS School Council

We are still looking for someone to step forward as our Casino Chair. This role helps coordinate an important fundraiser that supports our school community. If you are interested or would like more information, please let the office know. 

Purdy’s chocolates will be sorted by our hard-working School Council team, on March 17 and will be sent home with students shortly after. Thank you for supporting this fundraiser! The School Council was able to raise $437 dollars for CMS students.
